Please contact me if you are interested in renting. We can set up a time for you to come by my studio in the Milwaukie area and try out the available harps.
I can deliver and pick up the harp rental to you for a fee. Please ask for more details.
I’m quite flexible on payment options, too. I accept cash, check, PayPal, and Venmo. No deposit necessary: you will simply sign a contract when you pick up the harp. Lever and lap harps are month-to-month rentals, and I require two weeks notice when returning the harp.
I currently have 10+ lever harp rentals. All of my lever harps are 34-36 strings, fully levered, and come with a carrying case or cover and a tuning key. The harps tend to rotate in and out, but there are Lyon & Healy (Troubadour II & V, Lyric, Folk), Aoyama (140, 130, 34S), Dusty Strings (Ravenna 34), Triplett (Catalina Deluxe), and Breton (Jasmine) harps available. The lever harps range in price from $65-$75 per month. For people who need shorter term rentals, lever harps are available for $30 p/week.
There are a few smaller harps available to rent, including Dusty Strings (Ravenna, Allegro, FH), Breton (Rose), and custom harps. These harps have 23-26 strings, and are either completely or partially levered. The price on these harps is between $50-$60 and they all come with a padded case, tuning key. The 26 string harps also come with removable 12 inch. For people who need shorter term rentals, these harps are available for $25 p/week.
First is a Salvi Daphne 40 pedal harp. It has 40 strings and a straight soundboard. It comes with a dust cover and tuning key. It’s designed as a long-term rental and thus the price depends on the length of the rental, between $100-$125. This harp is meant for home practice and should not be moved from the home without express permission. Insurance is required.
Also, there is a concert grand Venus Diplomat. It has 47 strings and a curved soundboard. It comes with a padded transport cover, tuning key, a folding stand, and an adjustable bench. It’s designed as a long-term rental and thus the price depends on the length of the rental, between $150-$200. This harp is meant for home practice and should not be moved from the home without express permission. Insurance is required.
Next is a Salvi Symphony semigrand pedal harp. It has 46 strings and a curved soundboard. It could come with a padded cover, dolly, foldable stand, foldable bench, tuning key, tuner, and full set of strings, depending on your needs. This harp is only available for short term rentals (under a week) and is $200 per event. Insurance is required.
In addition to that, I have a Lyon & Healy Style 17 that can be rented out for no more than a weekend but can not be moved to alternate locations. I’ll drop it off and pick it up. It comes with all the same accessories as the Salvi Symphony and is $250 for the event and transportation with the PDX area. Insurance is required.
Recently, an amazing individual contacted me about donating a celtic harp. I’m offering it to individuals who would like to try learning the harp, but may not have the means to rent or buy one at this time. It can go out for up to 6 months while the student takes regular lessons. The harp is 29 strings, it’s partially levered, and comes with a carrying case and tuning key. Please ask about availability.
